Learn to DJ your favourite music on Rumkraft’s intro course to DJing. WHAT TO EXPECT Learn to DJ on professional equipment, get comfortable with the mixer, master the art of transitioning, organize and analyze your music collection, perform with your fellow students at a local venue/night club in Copenhagen – all at Rumkraft’s DJ course! Oh, and you also GET A FREE 64GB USB DRIVE READY TO ROCK INCLUDED. Lesson 1 - Meet Rekordbox We take a deep dive into Rekordbox, your music library organisation tool, and you learn all the necessary features in one go. Lesson 2 - Meet the DJ system We explore the interface of the all-in-one DJ system with decks and mixer, Pioneer XDJ-XZ, and you learn to beat mix, understand cue'ing, the jog wheel, the mixer and BPM/tempo control. Lesson 3 - Back-to-back session Practice back-to-back DJing with fellow students and understand trim/gain, EQ'ing, and reverse mixing. Lesson 4 - Effects galore Effect day, we learn about Colour effects, Pad effects, and Beat effects to spice up our tracks and transistions. Lesson 5 - Field trip and vinyl mixing/advanced techniques Try hands-on vinyl mixing, tempo effects, and track analysis. After the class will go on a field trip to Christiania Radio to hear and see some of Copenhagen’s best and fastest DJs. Lesson 6 - Dress rehearsal of DJ mixes Students perform their mixes for each other with feedback from the teacher and we do the preparations for the graduation party.
